55th Newark Symphony Orchestra Betsy L. Kent Youth Concerto Competition 2025
Announcing the 2025 college and high school Betsy L. Kent Concerto Competition by the Newark Symphony Orchestra, Newark, DE. The contest is open to permanent residents or full-time students in the state of Delaware, Chester and Delaware Counties in Pennsylvania, or Cecil County in Maryland, or students studying with a Delaware resident teacher. High school students 13-18 years old, and college students under 25 years (instrumental) or under 29 (vocal) as of Dec. 31, 2025 are eligible. Auditions will be Saturday, November 8th, 2025 in Wilmington DE; the winners in the college and high school categories each perform in concert with the Newark Symphony Orchestra in March or May of 2025. The application deadline is Monday, October 13th; auditions will be held Saturday, November 2nd. Please circulate this information widely to teachers and potential contestants.
