Volunteer Info.

Signups for volunteering are located on the MENC board in the Amy lounge. Please make sure the date and time works out for you before you sign up. Thanks so much for your help!

Everything except the steel drums clinic is on December 8th. That date conflicts with marching band. String players, vocalists, double reed players, and anyone else not in marching band: we need your help! Please sign up to volunteer!

  • Steel Drums Clinic Nov. 17 9-12: We need volunteers to come at 8:30 to set up a table outside the percussion studio and have MENC students and teachers sign in for credit and make nametags. We will also be selling bottled water.
  • Delaware All State Auditions: DMEA asked for 4 volunteers to handle the registration and monitoring at the December 8 all-state orchestra auditions at Ceasar Rodney High School. It would run from 7:30am to 1:00pm. Note that this is the weekend before finals week. This date conflicts with marching band, so volunteers can not be in marching band.
  • Department Auditions: We need volunteers to set up and run an MENC table. We will have signups for music major weekend at the MENC table and we will also be selling window clings. Note that this is the weekend before finals week. This date conflicts with marching band, so volunteers can not be in marching band.
  • More for Department Auditions: Ms. Dunnack has asked for 5-6 volunteers in the early morning (7:30-9:30) and 1 volunteer to monitor the vocal door from 9:30-the end which should be around noon. Volunteers will need to attend a training session to make sure they are ready to go when the students arrive.

And a glimpse at next semester (signups for all of these will be posted at a later date)...

  • We will need volunteers for department auditions January 12, February 2, and February 16 (Feb. 23 is a snow date).
  • We will need volunteers for various aspects of Music Major weekend (March 2-3) including setting up a student recital and housing prospective students in your dorms.
  • March 7-8: we would like to invite other colleigate MENC chapters when Edwin Gordon comes to UD. Volunteers will be needed to house fellow MENC members in their dorms.
