October 10, 2008 is the date you want to keep clear on your calendar. This is the Delaware state wide in-service day. Most schools have off this day but if you don’t request the day to attend the annual DMEA STATE MUSIC DAY. It will be held at Dickinson High School from 8:00 to 4:00.
There will be many opportunities to attend sessions and network with over 200 other music teachers, browse displays of the newest offerings of instruments, books, videos, and music out there. MENC President Barbara Geer is our special guest along with the MENC Resource Shop that is full of hundreds of resources for you to purchase at discounted prices as a MENC member. This is the biggest conference held that day in Delaware and you won’t want to miss it.
Member cost is only $35. There is no other place you can receive professional development in the field of music for that price. Non-member is $50.00. Join DMEA/MENC today and receive all the extra benefits of being a member such as attending other Delaware professional development opportunities in the field of music for FREE.
For the Southern Delaware people we will again be offering transportation from Casaer Rodney High School. We will also be providing breakfast and lunch and you can receive up to 6 clock hours for attending.
